We started the activity by remembering and discussing the story of Abinadi using pictures. I was impressed at how well the girls knew the story by heart!
After that we made paper! We wanted to follow up with our discussion last time about taking care of the Earth, and so we decided to make paper out of used paper that would be recycled. It was actually a bit complicated at first! There were many steps to follow, and we had to read the instructions carefully. It got easier with each piece of paper that we made, and the girls got faster and faster. I couldn't help but think about the connection between following instructions and taking steps to make paper, and following other instructions (the scriptures) and taking other steps (getting baptized, going through the temple, etc.) to make it back to our Heavenly Home.
