Service and Following the Prophet...

November 12, 2008

Today the girls helped make and prepare some decorations for an upcoming benefit concert that will raise money to send textbooks to Africa! (November 20 at the Bullen's Center from 6:30-8:30). Then we read some council from the prophet and discussed ways in which we could follow it! Here is what they said:

BRIEA: I really thought today was fun because we got to make decorations for a party for African kids. We also made a list of words that the prophet said last General Conference.

ELIZA: I thought today was AWESOME! I really thought the finger painting was really fun, and I really thought that the cutting and gluing was fun because it was for a party for African kids. I like how we wrote things that we should follow that the prophet said.

OLIVIA: I really thought today was fun! I think we should always follow the prophet. We got to make decorations for a party for African kids. We also made a list of stuff that the prophet said last General Conference, then we chose one and wrote about it. My favorite part was when we dipped our hands in paint and stamped them on the paper.

Welcome!

Here is the first posting for the Lundstrom Park Activity Days girls. The purpose of this blog is to keep a fun record of things we have done so far (for example: exercise for a month, visit the Family History Center, discuss ways in which we can be more sweet-spirited, etc). We have a great group of girls, and I am excited to see how this develops!

Look forward to some new exciting things coming up on this blog.
